Description

Objective of the analysis : Detect the presence of asbestos in the air and quantify the level of exposure.

Results obtained : You know the concentration of breathable asbestos fibers per cubic meter of air.

Analysis deadline : Result is given on the day of receipt of the sample at the laboratory (working days).

Method : The samples are analyzed by scanning electron microscopy according to German standard VDI 3492 (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure. Messen von Innenraumluftverunreinigungen - Messen von Immissionen - Messen anorganischer faserförmiger Partikeln - Rasterelektronenmikroskopisches Verfahren, 2004-10).

Sampling : In order to be able to sample the air for asbestos quantification, you must have a pump which is in agreement with the VDI 3492 Norm.
